That's a Norwegian slashed O! Which sounds like the 'i' in 'bird.' Your joke should be a circle-a (that's the Swedish 'o' sound), the 'a with a circle on top.' That's the Swedish letter for a long 'o!' Just trying to help!
*sigh* Ditto on the appropriately disgusted duck bill smirk. Repeated attempts to get my mouth to mimic it have failed. How appropriate. Speaking of which, it rained in Orlando the day Bergman died, so I played a game of chess with myself and acquiesced to never being able to learn the cello at my age...
thanks eddie, thanks mark and everybody. indeed i was going for graphic overkill on the fake Swedish text (i doubt there even is an o with a line thru it and two dots in any language). all the same i welcome the corrections, i was curious to know what it really would be.
gemini82 and rick: as for having my own syndicated strip, i think i would prefer my own syndicate!!!

You defiantly need your own syndicated stip.

Seriously, yer funny! I too believe you should have your own syndicate on the Strip.
Love the look on the ducks face as the mouse delivers the punch line :-)

(frankly i was surprised i even got the part that he was Swedish right!)
interestingly, "dø" translates to "die".
as someone pointed out above though, the ø is norwegian, the swedes write the same sound as ö.

Wow!!! Funny with a beautiful line! It reminds me that cartooning is indeed an artform.
The faked Swedish letter may not be correct but it sure is funny. I doubt the real thing would be as funny to the eye.
