And now for something completely different...
Here is a moose. Hey it's a change of topic at least.
I grew up outside of Elk Island National Park in Alberta. One afternoon while hiking in the woods I came across a Moose grazing. He noticed me and slowly walked by within a few feet when he turned and looked straight at me and then tilted his head winked. To this day I wish I knew what he did ...
My sister had a dream once that my grandfather turned into a moose and tried to kill her. Good thing that shape-shifting moose won't be around for a few million years (that is if the effects of pollution and nuclear waste dumping doesn't have an immediate effect).
While we're on the subject of moose... if the plural of goose is geese, shouldn't the plural of moose be "meese"? I guess it doesn't sound quite right if the Discovery Channel specials said "A herd of majestic meese graze in the cool, crisp Canadian dawn."
One of my favorite books as a young lad was "Morris the Moose Goes to School". I was walking past a bookstore the other day & saw the current edition in the window--glad to it's still in print.
This is the the only moose related commentary I can think of.
back in the early 80's... driving with a highschool buddy from Toronto to Deer Falls Ontario { about 23 hours straight through NorthEast }.... Highway 17.....most of the way...that area of Canada will not cover you for insurance for your vehicle in the case of you hitting a moose.
No moose coverage.
Too many accidents, no coverage. Sort of like the 94 quake... no earthquake coverage for a while right after the event due to the huge payoffs.

Hey,
Defamatory statement or not, I saw one of these a few weeks back on my trip to the cottage and it scared the ba-JEEbuz out of us.
Hey Will!
Hope you're well.
Cheers!
