Belated X-MAS
Shane Glines was kind enough to send me this wonderful Henry Syverson Christmas gag in full color. Shane's CARTOON RETRO site offers the widest variety of inspirational images under one banner on the web. Click on the image to view a larger version.
Hmmm, great artwork but something's wrong here. Looks like there's two separate gag strips all intermingled, with the rose one being in the wrong order too. What's really curious is it looks like the same wife with two different husbands!!
I love those last two panels! So much said with those two narrative poses. It's usually funnier when the story is implied and the audience is made to play out the story in their head.

Cool cartoon. I'm liking Syverson more and more. There is a lot of energy in his drawings. Thanks for posting.
Man, so simple, and so much emotion and energy! It reads so well
I love the Henry Syverson stuff you've posted, Will!
The second and final gags were my favorites; he had the nack for balancing the humor and the heartwarming moments, which I admire greatly.
Thanks for sharing; maybe I should get a account...
