Hans Bacher
Hans Bacher's book DREAM WORLDS, about animated film design recently came out and I am enjoying it immensely. His thoughts and personal observations about design are well worth studying and the artwork is outstanding.
I want to get this book as well as the new book about Maurice Noble. It sounds awesome. Do you think you could post some pics from the book. Hey, did you see the post John K. did on the upcoming book on Ralph Bakshi? It has some awesome pictures.
Weido, I think CARTOON BREW did a post on it had some pictures. When I get some more scanning time I will try to put some up. Hans is one helluva designer.
Oh man, thanks for the reminder! I'd been looking forward to this for so long while snooping around his blog. I just ordered one for myself and another for a friend's birthday.
Hans was my animation teacher in Germany. All of us 4 Germans from the Thief blog have to thank him for sending us to London. Without him we wouldn't have worked on the Thief. I'm glad that we have this book now and that he was able to use all the Disney material and still speak his mind.

I was lucky enough to work with Hans at Disney some years ago. He's an awesome talent.
