QWERTY on the YouTubes
I've uploaded a higher resolution copy of QWERTY THE DINOSAUR onto YouTube, where you can see it more clearly in all it's scratchy, jittery, slightly less fuzzy glory.
Thanks for the comments. This fulfilled a lifelong desire to spoof the wonderful and admirable work of the great McKay.
I originally had something much more elaborate planned but I scrapped much of it, finding the simplest and stupidest parts the most satisfying. Ultimately I decided to do the polar opposite of McKay: in other words, making the whole thing with as FEW drawings as possible (preferably ONE when I could get away with it) per scene. Some of it I'd do over again, but I finally reached a point when I figured it was about as good as it needed to be for what it was (timewise that came to about a month of spare evenings and weekend hours during a busy work schedule).
Doesn't hold a candle to GERTIE of course, but glad it's amused some readers....

Fantastic! That was really good! Well done!
It's my first time seeing this. Really like the annoyed grumble before she licks the camera, along with all the other silliness. Thanks for sharing!
Neat! The part where she does the motorcycle stunt looks like classic Mad Magazine
The subtitles are the funniest and best thing about this. [See the earlier link to the better version of this for my other comments.]
